Tell us all about you! What do you do? How do you spend your free time? What's important in life?
We love travelling - and oh my, how COVID ruined everything about it in the past year and a half!! But luckily, we love the outdoors, and even more luckily, Northern Ireland has unreal nature and hiking spots, and what a better challenge than teaching the new, four-legged family member to enjoy them as well! As for the most important things in life, we believe it is health and family, as having those 2 things you can overcome any challenge that comes your way
Why did you decide to capture your Larchfield Estate wedding on video?
Since the moment we got engaged, everyone kept saying that the wedding day will go in a blink of an eye and that we need to enjoy it to its fullest, as it will be over before we know it. With that in mind, we decided to do everything in our hands to capture all the moments (and of course words in the shape of vows/speeches/jokes) we could
Why did you choose Amber Tree Filmhouse to film your wedding?
Initially mostly for the style of photo and video, spontaneous, yet not unflattering or messy. Once we actually got to talk to you we knew it was the right choice as you take time getting to know the couple and we felt that, while keeping your style of filming/photo/editing, each couple and each wedding was captured in a very personalised and "customised" way, and we loved that
Tell me all about the proposal! Spare no detail, I want to hear it all!
We went for a road trip in Ireland, and Martin had planned to propose on the 3rd day of the trip. He kept checking the weather all the time, which I didn't think much of, as we were planning to hike to a different place each day. He kept getting annoyed at the weather as it kept giving mostly rain (strange, as he usually doesn't mind that much), and I, clueless, kept saying "oh well, it's Ireland, what did you expect, we won't melt because of a bit of rain". On the second day, the day before he had planned to propose, we went to the Cliffs of Moher - because of Covid there were only 2 or 3 other people there that we crossed paths with - literally nobody else! And the weather? The most beautiful sunshine and blue sky, not a cloud in sight! So Martin found the most perfect spot, only the 2 of us and his drone (which I thought nothing of, as he loves using it), and went for it! Probably not the way he had planned it, but it couldn't have turned out more perfect (AND we have it on video!!)
Why did you choose Larchfield Estate as your venue? What made it special to you?
Neither of us likes flashy things, and finding a rustic/boho venue proved quite difficult until we came across Larchfield. Everything about it, from the stunning gardens taken out of a fairytale and the llamas you can see on the way throughout the beautiful drive-in, to the rustic, cozy interiors. We loved that it wasn't a set package and that we could organise the vendors we actually wanted, the way we wanted it, and we enjoyed every minute of it!
