Tell us all about you! What do you do? How do you spend your free time? What's important in life?
The biggest thing in both our lives is our faith in God. This gives purpose to everything else we do, and brings us real hope and unity in our marriage! 9-5, Duncan works as a flood modeller, analysing risk of flooding and advising planners etc. I work as a physiotherapist. Outside of work we both love being outdoors, Duncan is still trying to convince me to become a fellow scout leader. We will give most outdoor sports ago, from cycling to climbing, sailing and surfing, but often in busy life, outdoor pursuits just looks like a walk in a forest near Belfast or dinner on the gas stove at the beach. Of course all of this is usually enjoyed with a good bunch of friends who we love to have back for food after!
Why did you decide to capture your Glenpark Estate wedding on video?
I love rewatching my brother's wedding video so much, and I convinced Dunc it would be worth it! I also love the way the speeches are woven on top of capturing so many moments during the day which we might miss first time around. All round just a great way to look back at the day.
Why did you choose Amber Tree Filmhouse to film your wedding?
We wanted to put a big emphasis on story telling and no harsh soundtracks edited on top of video. So we loved your work!
Tell me all about the proposal! Spare no detail, I want to hear it all!
Fairhead was a poignant place for us, as I had friendzoned Dunc here in 2020. In 2022 he redeemed the place, but of course I saw the significance of the place and acted surprised, the intense wind helped spurr on the tears in my eyes! The rest of the day we enjoyed a bracing dip in the lake and a picnic with no one around. After hiking, we hit a local spa and restaurant, before spilling the beans to friends and family in person and over the phone.
Why did you choose Glenpark Estate as your venue? What made it special to you?
We love that Glenpark has the feel of a private venue but many of the conveniences of a hotel. Duncan particularly was a big fan of the water feature around the marquee. Overall a pretty cool location which we thinks adds a bit of interest for guests, if we get the weather to enjoy the grounds.
