Tell us all about you! What do you do? How do you spend your free time? What's important in life?
As individuals we fit together like a perfect puzzle. What Sam lacks, I have and it works both ways. We both love partying, having a dance and most of all doing it with our best friends and family. The people around us are what’s most important hence why it was never an option to have a small wedding 😆. We are both self-employed allowing a more flexible lifestyle and so far it has worked well. We have 1 dog (Lexi), 1 cat (Harry) and a pretty big house which is going to take years to make perfect… let’s just worry about that after the wedding 😅. In general we just can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together, laughing along the way and hopefully adding more members to the family ❤️
Why did you decide to capture your Achnagairn Estate wedding on video?
It was really me (Amy) who thought capturing the wedding on video was important. Sam took a little convincing! I just personally feel that a video speaks much louder than a still photograph. It will capture moments both of us aren’t there to witness in person and will convey more in detail the scene or event. It’s easier to capture emotion and feeling through a moving picture and has much more of an impact when watching it back too. Something you will keep forever and can watch over and over again!
Why did you choose Amber Tree Filmhouse to film your wedding?
When looking for a videographer I was really just trying to find someone so good that even Sam would be impressed and therefore let me have one, haha. Yours was literally the only work I personally thought would do the trick… and it worked!

It happened on NYE! It’s hard to explain but we have this secret spot in the woods where we walk the dog. Nobody really knows about it therefore there is never anybody there. I don’t like attention on me (help me for the wedding day 🙈) so Sam always knew it needed to be somewhere quiet. He got a Chinese take away, blankets (pillows included) and a fire pit. Laid it all out next to the river making sure I wouldn’t be cold and spread loads of tea lights in the grass. He also bought fairy lights and covered all the tree branches so the entire place was lit up. It was just us and the dog when he asked the question and it couldn’t have been more perfect!
Why did you choose Achnagairn Estate as your venue? What made it special to you?
Another suggestion of mine 😅. I had seen Achnagairn ages before even being engaged and always joked, that’s where I’m getting married. When we did actually get engaged I was open to viewing most places but obviously Achnagairn had to be on that list. It was actually the last venue we saw and almost as soon as we walked in we knew it was our favourite! Never looked back since.
