Tell us all about you! What do you do? How do you spend your free time? What's important in life?
I (Rebecca) am a Secondary Religious Education teacher, which I love. Sam is a primary school deputy headteacher, which he loves! Being teachers, our jobs are very much our vocation but we also enjoy doing lots of normal couple things like going out for dinner and drinks with friends. We love watching movies and I am the Catchphrase champ which really impresses Sam who just doesn’t understand how my brain works so quickly! Sam is an incredibly hard worker and has had a milestone year turning 30, becoming an esteemed Fellow in Education and passing his NPQ to become a headteacher.
Why did you decide to capture your Lough Erne Resort wedding on video?
Still photographs are beautiful and very important on your wedding day (especially as we have our amazing photographer Jayne Lindsay!) but a video captures the glances, the giggles and the sometimes missed moments. Seeing an animated laugh in motion makes all the difference.
Why did you choose Amber Tree Filmhouse to film your wedding?
We LOVED the natural and seamless editing! The typical wedding video was not for us, so to see the natural edits and modern and romantic twist instantly made us gravitate towards Amber Tree Filmhouse.

Tell me all about the proposal! Spare no detail, I want to hear it all!
Where do I start! Sam hired a proposal planner (who I thought was our tour guide) who walked us around the gorgeous grounds of the Villa Bourgeois gardens in Rome. There was a gorgeous picnic set up with pictures of our life together, food, a violinist playing all my favourite Beyoncé music AND photographer hiding behind the trees who took us on our engagement shoot around Rome ending up in a rowing boat which Sam could not row to save his life so we ‘drifted’ across the lake. How could you say no! I had been secretly angry at Sam for booking this ‘tour’ as I wanted to see the Popes address on the Vatican the same day- all was forgiven once I realised the real reason!
Why did you choose Lough Erne Resort as your venue? What made it special to you?
Living in Manchester now with Sam, it was really important for me if we are to have our wedding in Ireland, I want it to LOOK like we are in Ireland. The gorgeous water and greenery at Lough Erne really captures the scenic beauty of Ireland. It’s Celtic, Romantic and fresh which is how we hope our wedding day will be.
